Kamal Fayad was born in Baabda, Lebanon to Lebanese parents, and grew up speaking fluent English, French and Arabic plus notions in Italian. He is dual Lebanese and French.
His early schooling was at the prestigious Jamhour in Lebanon.
He holds, from Université Panthéon-Assas, a Bachelor of Laws, a Master in Business Law and a Master in Business & Fiscal Law.
He has more than 20 years of experience in equity derivatives with various international banks in Paris, London and Dubai, including Warburg Securities, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank.
He has successfully led diverse functional business areas, such as single-stock trading, corporate derivatives including Employee Share Options Plans (ESOPs), mergers and acquisitions, stock financing, capital guarantees and baskets of stocks.
He has also managed an internal corporate hedge fund which employed statistical arbitrage and event-driven strategies.
In addition, he led the MENA Hedge Fund of Evolvence Capital in the United Arab Emirates as General Manager and Partner.
Currently, he owns and manages his own private investment company (KAF Investments) for extremely high net worth clients.
